When this makes sense
- You already have, or plan to install, an alarm, cameras and access, and want to control them together with light and heating.
- The house has several rooms and systems currently run by separate apps or remotes.
- You want scenes — for example, "leaving" turns off lights, lowers the blinds and arms the alarm with one touch.
- You're building or renovating and can fit the wiring in before the walls close up.
When it doesn't
- You just want one smart bulb or a single device without linking to security — that doesn't need a Control4 platform.
- The budget is strictly for an alarm or CCTV, with no comfort plan — we then start with security and leave smart home for later.
- The property is a short-term rental and doesn't justify investing in a fixed installation.

Yes, we install and configure the system as an authorised Control4 dealer, with full manufacturer support.
Does security have to be installed before comfort features?
We recommend that order — the alarm, cameras and access are the foundation, and light, heating and sound are added to the same platform whenever you decide.
Does Control4 fit an existing house, or only new builds?
It works in both cases, but in a new build or renovation the installation is simpler because wiring can be fitted before the walls close up.
Can I control the system when I'm not home?
Yes, through the app, which shows the status of the alarm, cameras and other systems and lets you control them from anywhere.
