Where the vehicle actually was, not where it was reported.
GPS tracking and telemetry: route, dwell time and fuel use. Driving history turns a dispute into a report.
When this makes sense
- The company runs a vehicle fleet and needs to know where vehicles were, not just where they are right now.
- There's suspicion of unplanned routes, long stops, or fuel use that doesn't match the distance driven.
- Drivers work in the field without direct supervision, and the company needs an objective record, not a verbal report.
- Insurance or a client requires proof of route and delivery time.
When it doesn't
- The fleet is one or two vehicles used strictly locally, under the owner's direct supervision.
- The company already uses another telemetry system that covers its needs and isn't being replaced.
- The goal is only current location on request, without route history or consumption analysis — a simpler locating app is enough for that.
How it works
- 01
GPS device in the vehicle
A device is installed in the vehicle and reports position, speed and status at regular intervals.
- 02
Route history
Every trip is logged and can be reviewed later — route, departure time, arrival time.
- 03
Stop detection
The system recognises and logs any extended stop, with location and duration.
- 04
Fuel consumption
Telemetry tracks consumption against distance driven and flags deviations.
- 05
Report and access
Data is available through web software and a phone app, with named accounts per vehicle or fleet.

Questions
Does GPS tracking only show the current location?
No, the main value is history — route, dwell time and fuel use are stored and can be reviewed later, not just checked at the moment.
Can fuel consumption be tracked per driver?
Yes, if telemetry is linked to driver identification, consumption and driving style are tracked individually, not just per vehicle.
Who has access to the fleet data?
Only the named accounts the company sets up, through the web software or app — access can be limited by vehicle or by user.
Does the device work when the vehicle has no network signal?
The device logs data locally and sends it once a connection is available, so the route history stays complete even without constant signal.
